PayPal has finally come up with a solution to combat phishing. They’re using a device from SecureID that’s been in the marketplace for 8+ years. I remember implementing a SecureID system in the late 90′s when I was working for the largest landline and mobile phone provider in Canada. The SecureID device was used in conjunction with standard username/password to gain access to the companies intranet (customer data).
A little late, but congrats to PayPal for selecting this additional level of security for their clients.
