Fred Wilson from Union Square Ventures made a great post yesterday about why VCs don’t invest in competing/competitive businesses. His post is short and sweet and something everyone should consider when they start to court VC firms–do they already have a stake in a company we compete with? If so, don’t waste your time and move onto another VC.
