Interesting news coming out this morning. Cisco Systems owns the iPhone name. Apple and Cisco have been in talks for a while about how their use of iPhone could co-exist without causing too much trouble to either company. And finally, it looks like Apple dropped the ball and didn’t get a trademark agreement in place before releasing the iPhone and Cisco has filed suit. Mark Chandler, Cisco’s SVP and General Counsel has a great blog post about what happened and why they took this path.
