I’m not much of a fan boy. Many of the services I use on a daily basis don’t turn my crank all that much. Sure, they do enough for me to use them, but they aren’t spectacular. I’ve posted a few times over the last year or so about my Sirius subscription. I love it. Love it so much that I bought my mom a unit, I have my own car unit and I even pay for their premium internet stream.
My boy, Adam, finally got his hands on a sweet Sirius unit. He hasn’t had a chance to get it installed in his car–yet, but he just got it hooked up in his office and seems to like it so far. Fortunately he’s listened to my Sirius subscription a few times as we’ve spent a lot of time in the car together. Although Adam did have a crap experience with the first unit he received. He originally purchased his Sirius Sportster from Radio Shack. And, well, Radio Shack or Sirius or together they’ve decided to cripple the units sold only at RadioShack. They’ve removed the AUX Out and threw an insert into the manual saying ignore all references of the AUX Out. And to boot, the Radio Shack unit is the same price as the unit on sirius.com *with* AUX Out. Not to mention the Radio Shack web site says that there is an AUX Out, even though there isn’t one. Shameful.
You can read more about this over on Adam’s blog.
